Taking Pride in Working Together
The Clayoquot Biosphere Trust and ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ (Tla-o-qui-aht First Nations) invite you to a regional gathering in recognition of the 25th anniversary of the Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere. This free public event will include a community meal, presentations, educational booths, and fun activities for all ages. There will be a bouncy castle for the kids!

☀️ ƛaʔuukʷiʔatḥ will start with songs at 10 a.m.
🍔 Lunch will be served around 1 p.m.

ABOUT:
This gathering will welcome attendees from across the region, including residents, visitors, and organizations. The event will honour Indigenous knowledge and leadership, highlight 25 years of collaborative conservation and sustainable development, and bring communities together to reflect on the future of the Biosphere Region. Central to the gathering will be cultural sharing through storytelling, food, art, dance, and other activities.
All communities, residents, and visitors are invited to mark this moment and move forward in a positive direction for the future of the region. We will recognize and celebrate our movement towards these goals and envision how we can continue to work together for the health and abundance of all.
HELP REDUCE WASTE:
Help us reduce waste at the event! Please bring your own cup, plate, and cutlery for the community meal, along with a container for leftovers, so that no food goes to waste. And don’t forget your reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.
TRANSPORTATION:
Need a ride? We’re grateful to BC Transit for offering free bus service on September 20th so everyone can travel with ease to and from the event.
Boat transportation will also be available for free from Hesquiaht, Ahousaht, and Opitsaht to get people to the event. For more details, please reach out to [email protected].
