Cet été, le Musée du Fort Saint-Jean et ses partenaires vous invitent à revivre une page méconnue de notre histoire, directement sur les lieux où elle s'est déroulée.
ÉVÉNEMENT GRATUIT // FAMILIAL
Les 16 et 17 août prochains, vous êtes invités à participer à un moment fort de notre héritage militaire. À l’occasion du 250e anniversaire du siège du fort Saint-Jean, le Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean accueillera des reconstitutions historiques d’envergure :
Plus de 500 reconstituteurs en uniformes du 18e siècle
Des campements militaires d’époque à parcourir
Des reconstitutions de batailles sur le site même du fort
Des démonstrations et des ateliers participatifs
45 jours de résistance... en 2 jours d’émotions

L’événement s’adresse à tous, autant aux familles, aux militaires et vétérans, aux élèves-officiers, aux passionnés d’histoire et au grand public curieux de découvrir le riche patrimoine militaire de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

L’événement est organisé par le Musée du Fort Saint-Jean, en partenariat avec le Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean, la Corporation du Fort St-Jean, et la Ville de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

ÉGALEMENT OFFERT //
En plus de ces reconstitutions, le Musée du Fort Saint-Jean offre, sur le même thème, une exposition ouverte au public ainsi que des activités découvertes pour les groupes scolaires.
Intitulée « D’assiégé à assaillant : le fort Saint-Jean et l’invasion du Canada », l’exposition est accessible tout l'été du mercredi au dimanche, de 10h à 17h.

This summer, the Fort Saint-Jean Museum and its partners invite you to relive a lesser-known chapter of our history—right on the very grounds where it all took place.
FREE FAMILY EVENT// August 16 & 17
Step into a defining moment of our military heritage. To mark the 250th anniversary of the Siege of Fort Saint-Jean, the Royal Military College Saint-Jean will host a large-scale historical reenactment:
Over 500 reenactors in full 18th-century uniforms
Period military camps you can walk through
Live battle reenactments on the original fort site
Hands-on demos and workshops
61 days of resistance… packed into 2 days of emotion!
WHO IT’S FOR //
This event is open to everyone—families, military members and veterans, officer cadets, history buffs, and anyone curious about the rich military heritage of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

August 17: 9 AM – 5 PM

Departures every 25 minutes from the College to the various parking lots.

In addition to the reenactments, the Fort Saint-Jean Museum is offering a themed exhibition and educational activities for school groups.
Exhibit: “From Besieged to Besieger: Fort Saint-Jean and the Invasion of Canada” is opened to the public Wednesday to Sunday, during the summer, from 10 AM to 5 PM.
