The Entrepreneurship Club invites you to discover the entrepreneurial story of Danny Lein, who founded 4 companies in the past 25 years in the digital and mobile space. His current venture Twipe enables digital growth and innovation for leading newspaper publishers worldwide. After the visit to Twipe you can join us for a meal at the nearby Oude Kantien Restaurant for a chat and networking.
Twipe is a Belgian technology scale up, based in Leuven. Their state-of-the-art digital publishing and analytics SaaS platform is used by leading newspapers in Europe.
Twipe is an innovation and technology leader in the area of digital edition publishing. The company helps newspapers like The Telegraph, Mediahuis, Le Monde and Ouest France grow their subscription and reader revenues. Every day, more than 1,5 million readers access their favorite news via the Twipe platform.
The innovation capability of Twipe has been recognized by Google, which has granted them already 3 times funding from its Digital News Initiative fund. They invest proactively in machine learning and artificial intelligence to understand and predict reader's preferences.
Danny Lein MBA'96J , is an entrepreneur and business builder with broad expertise in media and digital technologies. He started his career at P&G. After an INSEAD MBA he spent 3 years at McKinsey & Company. In 1999 he co-founded Venturebay, an internet startup studio which launched 2 companies, Register.be and MobileWeb.be.
After successfully exiting these 2 ventures, he founded Twipe in 2011 with a mission to become one of the world’s leading news engagement platforms. He is passionate about the journalism, innovation, lean startup, artificial intelligence and high performance teams.
