About this Event
The Shaama Centre is a dynamic community hub that offers a range of activities and services designed to enhance the quality of life for seniors, women, and their families, particularly those who are isolated due to social and physical barriers. We also provide counseling and a variety of support services for individuals coping with grief, domestic violence, or other life challenges. We welcome people of all ages and celebrate Edmonton’s diverse cultural and faith communities. As a registered charity, we are supported by the government and our community.
This is our 24th Annual Interfaith Multicultural Celebration. The objective of this event is to create an opportunity for our communities to celebrate their own faiths and cultures, and to learn about the different faiths practiced in Canada, fostering awareness of the various perspectives that make up our world. We also aim to highlight the richness that diversity brings. This event provides an opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to develop friendships and understanding, helping everyone to see the humanity in others and build bridges. Coming together in the spirit of cooperation and friendship helps us all develop a sense of community and belonging. This year's theme is "Hope for Humanity."
