24 Hours of Heroes – What to ExpectDid you know that nearly 49% of veterans discharging from the Defence Force develop mental health issues within their first 12 months of discharge? From 2001 to 2017, 419 suicides were recorded among serving, reserve, and ex-serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel who served since 2001. These sobering statistics highlight the urgent need for support within the veteran community.
Since its inception in 2021 at Nepean CrossFit, 24 Hours of Heroes Australia has grown into a national movement, crossing the Tasman into New Zealand. By 2024, more than 30 gyms and over 1,300 participants had joined forces, raising an incredible $760,000 for veterans and their families. All funds are donated directly to our charity partners: Wounded Heroes Australia and RSA New Zealand.
Save the Date: April 26th-27th, 2025
This inspiring event spans 24 hours, beginning at 8:00 AM on April 26th and concluding at 8:00 AM on April 27th. Teams of six will rotate through 24 Australian hero workouts, each honouring the men and women who gave their lives in the line of duty. Held annually around ANZAC Day, this event is a powerful way to pay tribute to our fallen brothers and sisters while raising essential funds to support those still with us.
