The hungry need our help now more than ever. Join us for the lighted parade and food donation. Can't make it on the 16th? Make a monetary donation and we'll shop for you! Help us reach our goal of 6000 food items for 2024.--------------------------------------------
NOTE: This is preliminary info - SUBJECT TO CHANGE!
Join us for the 23rd Jeep Food Ride benefiting Rotary Lights, La Crosse to help the hungry during the holidays. You'll be helping local food pantries who are a part of the Rotary Lights efforts.
SIGN-UP IS MANDATORY. This event is limited to ensure a good guest experience. The limits are:
• 45 Jeeps for the evening parade
Please don't sign up until you are sure you know you can come! Each Jeep will need to sign up separately but it is quick and easy. Thanks for helping us make this event enjoyable for everyone!
FOOD SHOULD BE COUNTED PRIOR TO ARRIVAL! Our ride has grown beyond all expectations and we are humbled by your generosity! To help keep things flowing, we ask that you take a moment before you arrive and count the total number of individual food items you are donating. Each package counts as an item. For example, a case of 24 can goods, even if it is wrapped as one, counts as 24 items.
Sign-up today - space is limited! See schedule below. This event is snow/rain or shine. Hunger doesn't take a break due to weather! If you can't attend this year, your donations are still welcome and very much appreciated.
MONEY MAKES IT HAPPEN!: We welcome private donors and corporate sponsors! In an effort to make our impact even bigger, we are looking for businesses willing to donate in any amount. If you prefer to donate items, we'll auction them off during the event with all proceeds going directly to Rotary Lights, La Crosse!
All Jeepers are welcome and there are only a few rules and requirements:
1. There is a price of admission... We ask that each adult (18+), bring a minimum of two (2) grocery bags FULL of non-perishable food. If there are three adults in your Jeep, that means a minimum of six (6) bags (or more - let's make a difference!). Under 18 are welcome and should donate whatever their budget allows.
2. Your Jeep must be street legal and insured.
3. You must follow the directions of the event organizers. Timing is critical for the parade to be a success.
Jeepers - please share this to your page and with your fellow Jeepers. All we ask is that everyone RSVP by 8:00 a.m. on December 21st, 2024 so we can properly plan for the day! But, if something changes and you can attend at the last minute, show up with food and maybe some extra food!
Don't be shy! All Jeepers are welcome and bring your Jeep friends! The more people that attend, the more people we can help! Please post your questions here or message us.
Lodging Suggestions
For those wishing to be near I-90, we would suggest Stoney Creek Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, Baymont Inn & Suites, or Microtel, all in Onalaska, WI
For those wishing to stay downtown near Riverside Park and closer to the post-event gathering, we would suggest Courtyard by Marriot, Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn Downtown, Radisson (higher rate) or the Charmant (higher rate but boutique hotel and very unique).
Please feel free to post your lodging questions or send an email to Eric at [email protected]
