Join us for the 23rd annual Bloomsday event, celebrating the publication of Joyce’s Ulysses with readings and songs, on Sunday, June 16, at 3PM.Bloomsday is observed throughout the world on June 16th as a commemoration and celebration of the life of Irish writer James Joyce, during which the events in his novel are relived. The date was chosen by Joyce as it was the date of his first outing with the great love of his life, Nora Barnacle. Fraught with controversy, most countries denounced Ulysses as amoral and blasphemous – and what could be wrong with that?
“Rattlin’ of the Joists,” directed by Josephine Craven, has been honoring Bloomsday at the IAHC for over two decades. Be a part of the tradition!
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Members are free (must show membership card). Tickets are available on the Irish American Heritage Center website
