On September 27, the Lafayette High Band program will host the 23rd annual Bandboree at Comeaux High School and we'd like to send huge thanks to Courtesy Automotive Group for their generous sponsorship of the event.Bandboree is an early season marching festival that gives bands their first chance at competition-style critique, but in a non-competitive setting, usually before their shows are complete. A distinguished panel of judges gives helpful feedback without assigning ratings. At the end of the night, while directors chat with judges, students get a chance to meet old friends and make new ones in a massive dance party on the field.
This year's event will be bigger than ever, with 16 local high school bands plus William Carey University marching in exhibition.
