A range of TREC obstacles will be set out over the Cross Country course incorporating the ditches, bank, steps, water and other natural features. Two clinic dates available: 28/7 and 21/9These sessions are a great introduction to the obstacle phase of TREC, cross training for all disciplines and good old fashioned fun for horse and rider in a relaxed atmosphere.
Evie will work to build your confidence, trust and skill as you navigate a range of obstacles that simulate challenges on an adventurous hack, all set out around the lovely XC course - low branches, narrow/blocked bridleways, hairpin bends, streams with bridges & a bit of one-handed riding while you read the map.
Body protectors (level 3 2018 or later) are recommended, but not compulsory unless you want to jump.
Each horse will have a couple of goes at each obstacle, Evie will explain the TREC scoring system & give tips to complete them effectively whether in hand or ridden. Everything is optional, and you can do it at your own speed.
Suitable for all horses and riders/handlers - any age/experience, in hand welcome.
Have a look at Evie’s website www.trec-training.uk or www.facebook.com/trectraining for more photos, reviews and information.
For more advanced TREC riders, there'll be some tricky approaches, combinations and related difficulties so you can work on your control & accuracy.
Please note that your horse must be up to date with flu vaccinations (on standard 12 month schedule) to attend this clinic.
90 mins in a group of 4 at a cost of £35 per person, including venue hire.
Payment is required to secure your place, please follow this link: https://trectraining.wordpress.com/booking-form
- Please do your own honest risk assessment of your horse & their recent workload/temperament - this is an outdoor XC course on grass so will not be suitable for all riders. In hand participants are welcome.
