About this Event

We are thrilled to announce the 2024 Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Awards Celebration!

Join us Tuesday, November 19 at the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. as we celebrate movement leaders who have made a lasting impact in the fight for workers’ rights and economic justice.

This year’s honorees include:

Mary Key Henry, an icon in our movement and President Emerita of the Service Employees International Union.

Chattanooga Volkswagen autoworkers who voted to form a union and courageously paved the way for deep organizing in the South.

Our Discount Legacy Award Winner, Rosario Ortiz, a leading voice in successfully pushing the Department of Homeland Security to grant immigrant workers protection from exploitation and deportation while in an active labor dispute.

The Writers and Cast of Abbott Elementary, for their inspiring and humanizing storytelling that centers the challenges faced by educators and students in public schools.

Tabitha Arnold's tapestry tribute to Chattanooga workers, "These Hands", will also be displayed.
