YWCA Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia is excited to announce the return of our highly popular annual Prom Dress Sale, scheduled for March 13 and 14, 2026. This community-driven event features a wide variety of donated formal gowns, all at only $25, ensuring every student can experience their high school prom at affordable prices. In doing so, we aim to eliminate barriers that might prevent students from participating in this quintessential rite of passage.🛍️SHOPPING🛍️
If you are a high school student making plans for your 2026 prom, add this incredible opportunity to your calendar. We will have hundreds of beautiful dresses for you to choose from, all at the unbeatable price of $25. Let us make your prom dreams come true without breaking the bank! (Scholarships are available for those who may need a little extra support.)
👗DONATIONS👗
The success of each year’s YWCA Prom Dress Sale relies heavily on the generosity of area residents. To that end, we are currently accepting donations of preloved but usable formal wear. Community members are encouraged to clear out their closets and donate any suitable dresses that are otherwise sitting forgotten. By donating, you can give a second life to a cherished garment while directly impacting the life of a local student.
☑️Dress donations can be dropped off at YWCA’s main campus at 106 State Street in Bristol Monday through Friday, between now and the March event.
🙋🏻♀️VOLUNTEERS🙋🏼♂️
YWCA is also seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help with event setup and breakdown and assist customers with their shopping experience. To anyone interested, we offer a "Volunteer for a Gown" program: any student or family member who completes a 2-hour volunteer shift will be eligible to receive a prom dress from the collection at no cost!
