About this Event
NIGHT TO SHINE is a night not only for Guests to shine, but for all those involved to shine. Night To Shine is:
- A worldwide movement sponsored by The Tim Tebow Foundation;
- Changing Valentine's Day weekend from a celebration of love, to a celebration of God's love for people with special needs;
- An unforgettable prom night experience;
- A celebration of the value of life;
- A night when all honored guests are made kings and queens of the prom;
- Held simultaneously on one night around the world... FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2026
Upon registration, all volunteers should:
- Review the complete description of their role and understanding of the overall event
- Complete the Background Check Application. If you are over 18, you will receive an email from Margot Painter with a secure link to our background check site.
Volunteers must be age 16 or older.
NIGHT TO SHINE - LIST OF VOLUNTEER ROLES
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
BUDDY TEAM - Accompany and assist your assigned guest throughout the evening, providing companionship and any assistance they may need during the event. Sit with your guest during dinner and engage with them in conversation. Enjoy the dancing and other activities of the evening with your guest. Please dress up or wear nice casual clothes; no jeans.
PARKING TEAM - Maintain a parking pattern and direct traffic for easy vehicle entry and exit. Maintain open fire and emergency lanes.
GUEST REGISTRATION TEAM / GIFT TAKEAWAY TEAM - Warmly greet guests and sign them in. Give guests their name tags. At the end of the evening, assist each guest by giving them their gifts to take home.
RED CARPET / COAT TEAM - Assist guests as they make their way down the red carpet, manage flow of traffic and cheer them on to make them feel welcomed. Hang up coats for guests if necessary.
Parent/Caregiver Room team - Interact with the parents/caretakers by serving food, spending time getting to know them and being available to pray with them.
BEAUTY & VALET TEAM - Assist to set up the salon area. Welcome each guest for hair and makeup. Chat with them while you and the hair/makeup pamper them and make them feel special.
FLOWER TEAM - Help guests select and pin on their flowers.
DINING ROOM / SERVER TEAM - Serve food to guests in main event space. Be knowledgeable about the items and assist guests in finding what they would like (especially if they have dietary restrictions or allergies), assist Kitchen Team refill food warmers, drinks and snacks. Clear tables and reset the tables as necessary.
KARAOKE TEAM - Set up and participate in karaoke with the guests. Encourage them and maintain a fun atmosphere.
CRAFT ROOM TEAM- Assist the guests to create a craft project.
LIMO RIDE TEAM - Assist guests into and out of limo for their ride around the neighborhood.
SAFETY & SECURITY TEAM - Walk around and monitor the main event space and outdoor areas, making sure exits are not blocked and all areas remain wheelchair accessible. Support on-site uniformed Law Enforcement personnel by ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and volunteers. Coordinate with local police, fire and rescue as needed.
TEAR DOWN TEAM - Take down decorations, put away tables and chairs, etc. and clean up the event space. SATURDAY, February 14, 2025 at 9:00 AM
