Inviting novice and veteran gardeners to come exchange saved seeds from your garden or leftover from planting. Edibles and ornamentals are welcome. We are all about discovering new things to grow, promoting seeds that are adapted to THRIVE in Southeast Idaho’s challenging growing conditions, encouraging biodiversity, and creating new connections among our awesome community of gardeners. This free gathering gets bigger every year--come join us!How it works:
• Come early! When you arrive, you will receive tokens for each packet of seeds you bring. (And if you bring seeds that you saved yourself from your own garden, you get to enter the prize raffle!)
• We will have several mini classes on seed-saving and other gardening topics that you can attend while all the seeds are getting organized (the workshops will run from 7:10-7:30pm).
• After class, take a stroll and trade your tokens for seeds that strike your fancy. The vast array of seeds will blow your mind!
• If you don’t have seeds to swap, still come--you can purchase tokens to redeem for seeds (only 50c/pack! This helps us cover the rental fee of the fairgrounds. Please bring exact change or Venmo if you plan to purchase tokens.)
• Go home and dream about your future garden bounty!
