About this Event
Join us for our welding competition for all levels of experience on March 7th, 2026 at The Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center!
The competition is divided by experience your currently enrolled in: high school students, secondary/vocational student, and paid/pro. Prizes will be given to the top 3 contestants in each category at the conclusion of the competition.
All students will be given 45 minutes to perform two welds: 1G MIG weld and a 3G stick weld. Paid pros will be given 45 minutes to perform a MIG weld on pipe using rollers.
All welds will be judged by two CWI's.
Welders are expected to bring their own proper PPE (welding hood, gloves, safety glasses, steel toes, ear plugs, long sleeve clothing, grinders, and hand tools, etc.) SICTC, NIX Industrial, Evansville Welding Supply, and Lincoln Electric will provide the metal, welding machine, grinders, and consumables.
The event will begin at 7am CST and will last until roughly 12:30pm. We will send out a schedule to all competitors with your designated time slot days before the event.
We can host a maximum of 60 participants, so make sure you secure your spot by purchasing a ticket today!
