Rules and Regulations1. Certification: This is a USBC certified event, all USBC rules and regulations shall apply, and all entrants must be current adult USBC members. This event is open to all adult USBC sanctioned bowlers, regardless of average.
2. Averages: Use highest 2024-25 avg. of 21 games or more. If none, then use highest current 2025-26 avg. of 21 games or more. If none then bowler will use a 220 avg. There will be no 10-pin rule for this event. All averages will be verified prior to the start of the tournament. If a bowler has a standard average and a sport average, the standard average shall be used. If a bowler must use his/her sport average, their average shall be adjusted using the USBC Sport Conversion Chart. The tournament director reserves the right to re-rate any bowler for any reason.
3. Handicap: Handicap shall be calculated using ½ of 90% of 440 team average.
Example: Team average of 400 would get 18 pins per game. 440 – 400 = 40 x 90% = 36 x 50% = 18.
4. Format: All teams will bowl 10 “baker” games of qualifying with the top 25% of teams advancing to a 2-game match bracket final. Teams must set their lineup prior to the first ball for score, and lineups will remain the same for games 1-5. Beginning game 6, teams MUST “reverse” their lineup for games 6-10. This will require each team member to complete the same number of 10th frames. For match play finals, lineups may be changed for each game.
5. Ties: Should there be a tie for bracket seeding, the better seed shall go to the team with the highest game with handicap. Should a tie occur in match play, a one-ball, scratch, roll-off will be used. The higher seeded team will have lane choice and which team rolls first, however the teams must continue the same baker order as used that game. For example, bowler “B” bowled the 10th frame, bowler “A” must roll the first ball of the roll-off.
6. Payouts: Payouts will be 1:4 ratio.
7. Entry Fee and Prize Fund: The entry fee is $100 / team or $50 / bowler. The breakdown per bowler will be $17.50 for lineage, $26 prize fund, $4.50 awards, and $2 admin. A Roto Grip / Storm / 900 Global Ball of Choice Certificate will be raffle and 50/50 drawing will be held during the event with money raised being added to the prize fund.
8. Brackets and High Games: There will be optional scratch & handicap brackets and high game pots.
9. Tournament Authority: The Tournament Director will have final say in all disputes, rules not covered here, or rules not covered by the USBC.
