Join us for the first annual Piper's Retreat adjacent to Washington DC, in which smallpipers will gather to share music and continue spreading awareness of the lesser known bagpipes. Dance music will be a central focus of the weekend, and we will not have FORMAL instruction, but rather a shared format taught by students themselves who have different forms of enrichment from their gathering experiences and stylistic preferences.Most of the Scottish smallpiping will occur in A, but D chanters and C chanters will likely make an appearance; similarly, most of the Northumbrian piping will occur in F and/or D.
Other instruments welcome and encouraged!
*LODGING*
There are three hotels within a ten minute [drive] radius. This will be the student's responsibility. This information can be sent upon registration, but the average cost of these hotels is $99-$179 per night.
*FOOD*
This will be a catered event; registration fee covers the cost of meals. Bring a snack and drink to share at the evening sessions.
*COST*
$100 check or cash sent to Bob Mitchell. Message him privately to coordinate. December 20, 2025 deadline!!!!!!
