The NextGen Leadership Summit is strategically positioned at the halfway point of the year to sustain the momentum between major summer events, deepen leadership development, and begin charting the course for the year ahead.
This retreat will serve three primary purposes:
1.INVIGORATE: Many of our NextGen leaders left the 2025 Convention inspired but in need of personal renewal, practical direction, and meaningful connection. This retreat offers a chance for spiritual refreshing, relational bonding, and a sense of belonging to a movement larger than themselves.
2.EQUIP: Through interactive workshops, leadership labs, peer mentoring, and devotional times, participants will receive targeted training in spiritual leadership, communication, creative ministry, discipleship strategies, and planning. We aim to not only inspire but practically equip our NextGen leaders to lead boldly and effectively in their local contexts.
3.EXPOSE: By hosting this retreat in Charleston, SC—a city rich in culture, history, and leadership legacy—we are intentionally placing our leaders in a setting that broadens their perspectives and deepens their understanding of legacy, responsibility, and generational impact. This setting also provides a natural bridge for our leaders from various regions to experience ministry outside their usual contexts.
Additionally, the January summit will serve as a strategic planning springboard for our upcoming International NextGen Retreat in Summer 2026.
