Come celebrate the 2026 Lunar New Year with thunderous rhythms of taiko drumming and dragon dancers in the heart of Wellington and a spectacular fireworks by the Wellington Waterfront. 🎆🎶 Galloping into the New Year | Courtenay Place, Te Papa, and Upper Frank Kitts Park | 7.30 - 9 pm
Taiko drummers and dragon dancers will provide pre-Fireworks entertainment in Courtenay Place, Te Papa and Upper Frank Kitts Park.
✨ Fireworks Display | Wellington Waterfront | 9.30 pm
Watch the night sky light up in brilliant red, symbolising strength, unity, and the spirit of a new year filled with prosperity, good health and happiness.
If the fireworks can't go ahead due to bad weather, it will move to 28 February 2026, 9.30 pm.
