We are excited to start the 16th year of the Eastland Giving Circle! With the support of hundreds of members, last year we crossed the milestone of granting over $600,000 to date to nonprofit organizations impacting lives in amazing ways in our Eastern Jackson County Community! In November our members voted to focus our grants in 2026 to organizations serving Youth and Adults with Disabilities and/or Special Needs. We’re eager to introduce members to the life-changing work happening right here in our community—and to enjoy the camaraderie and collective impact that define the EGC. We’re also pleased to share that the EGC has now partnered with Truman Heartland Community Foundation, which will now serve as the repository for our Competitive Grants Fund. If you would like to make your gift of $305 for your 2026 membership now, please see the button below. Our first event of 2026 will be at the Englewood Arts Center (EAC). For those of you who have not yet visited, the EAC opened in Independence in 2022 and offers a variety of art experiences, including classes for all ages, art exhibitions, musical performances and more! Englewood Arts has something to offer everyone and is a true gem in EJC. A special tour of the facility will be part of the evening’s festivities as well as an introduction to our 2026 focus area and the yummy food and libations that our members always enjoy. Please plan to bring a friend for this fun night with the EGC!
