With the US government now reopened, the release of data delayed by the shutdown should give the Federal Reserve and markets a better understanding of the US economy’s current footing.
Looking into 2026, the increase in tariffs largely behind us and the impact of the immigration cuts already under way. Future growth outlook appears to be marginally stronger, though not at the exceptional levels that we have seen over recent years as some supporting factors may have weakened.
