Experience a night of Italian cinema presented by the Calgary European Cultural Society. Join us for a free screening of the 2022 film "Primadonna - The Girl from Tomorrow," including free pizza from the Italian Cultural Club of Calgary.
Set in 1965, Sicily, the film follows Lia, a woman who must face a difficult choice to uphold traditional marriage standards and protect her family. Director Marta Savina documents Lia and her family's struggles against a community who have turned on them. Lia must stand up in court and prove that she was not responsible for the brutality committed against her.
Film is 1hour, 40 minutes in length, and briefly depicts martial violence.
