We've hit a very cheesy milestone! Join us, Saturday February 14th for our 5th Annual Queso Bowl competition! I 'queso' you can say this is a pretty,pretty, pretty big deal...
This year the prizes are bigger, the stakes higher, and the glory cheesy goodness is more awesome. We'd like to take this opportunity to officially invite you to compete in Eureka Heights 5th annual Queso Bowl. Gather a group of friends from the neighborhood or get a team of co-workers together to come up with the best queso in the whole wide world. But! before you start breaking open the bricks of Velveeta, make sure you read the rules first. Registration closes Wednesday, February 11th at 4PM.
Rules:
1. Prepare one queso recipe enough for 200ppl | 2 oz tasters - Supply 400 oz of Queso to be safe. Eureka will supply the tasting cups for each contestant
2. Supply your own ingredients and queso vessels (chips, bread, ect.) Eureka will supply standard tortilla chips for all guests but feel free to bring your own.
4. Your queso can be premade...in fact we pretty much require it.
5. Chafing dishes are allowed to keep your queso warm. We will offer one dedicated power source if needed for a crockpot or other warming device. No more than one outlet per team.
6. We ask that all queso contestants list their ingredients for any guests who have dietary restrictions/allergies.
7. Arrive at Eureka Heights on Saturday, February 14th for setup at 11:00 am and stay through the event from 12 pm - 3 pm. *Please note teams need to be ready to serve at 11:45 am.
8. Decorate your table for a chance to win the best flair contest. Eureka will provide each team with one table.
9. Register by Wednesday, February 11th, to be eligible to compete. Spots are limited!
So, those are the rules. Not too bad, right?
Now let's talk about the registration fee. Each team does have to pay a $50 registration fee. But wait! We will give each team 4 drink tickets to grab a beer and a guaranteed spot to compete at the best damn queso competition this side of the bayou! Team fee is non-refundable

1st place (Popular Vote): Biggest Trophy + $100 Gift Card + Custom Chip and Queso Bowl + Bragging rights
2nd place (Popular Vote): Bigger Trophy + $50 Gift Card+ Custom Queso Spoon
3rd place (Popular Vote): A very cool wooden spoon + a block of Velveeta Cheese.
1st place (Chef's Choice): A pretty cool trophy + Bragging rights?
