The air rifle match is a CMP Cup Match. The course of fire is a 320 with NO FINAL using electronic targets. Time allowed for each position will be in accordance with the current edition of the CMP rule book, with 8 min. preparation & sighting period forkneeling, 5 min. changeover for each position, 5 min. preparation and sighting for prone and standing. Record fire 20 min. prone, 25 min. standing, and 20 mins kneeling. There will be NO FINAL. This event will start with the kneeling position.
Sporter and Precision air rifle classes per current National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rules. Athletes will be categorized in the following age classes (see rule 3.0):
U19 – Athletes over age 17 but under age 19 prior to the match.
U17 – Athletes over age 15 but under age 17 prior to the match.
U15 – Athletes under age 15 prior to the match.
Open (O) – Non-school age competitors who have graduated from high school or equivalent. Competitors may shoot in the school age U19 until August 31 of the year in which they graduate.
