About this Event
Are you interested in more safe spaces to walk, bike or run? Do you crave better access to the great outdoors? Are you looking for other people ready to jumpstart a year of positive local action? The annual Charlottesville / Albemarle Active Mobility Summit is for you!
The annual Charlottesville / Albemarle Active Mobility Summit invites cyclists, walkers, runners, and people interested in promoting active lifestyles for a Thursday evening of presentations, followed by Friday morning discussions and work sessions and Friday afternoon field trips.
This year's summit will focus on the economic and social benefits communities enjoy when there are great places for walking and biking, and residents and visitors have easy access to fresh air. Thursday will make the case for why connectivity and outdoor access is important and what is happening locally. Friday morning will focus on structural solutions that could make a difference.
You don’t need to attend both sessions to benefit but it is encouraged. Both sessions will include snacks and drinks. No matter your background, all are welcome! This free event is hands-on and collaborative, centered on learning, active participation and fellowship. For planning purposes, registration is required.
Full agenda, speaker list, and more details to come.
