Guys, are you up for a challenge?Then you are invited to join us on our annual Birthday ruck around Lake Georgetown.
Both start at 8:00pm!
2 OPTIONS:
✅ 10 miles to Cedar Breaks | 10 miles | 4-5 hours
✅ Full loop around the lake | 26 miles | about 10-12 hours
We stop every 5 miles to take a short brake to eat/drink, stretch, change batteries, socks etc.
This is an adventure you want to be part of!
It will not be easy, but it will be worth it!
The landscape is beautiful, we can come across all kinds of wildlife, from rabbits, deer, to bobcats and mountain lions!
Depending on the group, it will take around 10 - 12 hours.
We suggest putting in some miles, either in your neighborhood or you can join us every Saturday morning from 5-7am at Tejas Park.
What to bring:
- Backpack (with or without weights, that is up to you)
- Flashlight
- Headlamp
- Extra socks
- Clean shirts, so you can change when sweating.
- Wear good hiking/running shoes
- Electrolytes / Gatorade / Pedialyte
- Power bank if you want to charge your lights/phone.
- Charging cables for lights/phone
- Extra batteries if your lights require batteries
- Food (protein bars, candy, beef jerky, sandwiches, etc.)
- First aid kit (Tony always has one with him)
- Gloves (depending on the weather)
- Poncho (depending on the weather)
