If you are unable to attend and would like to provide input, you are also invited to take part in a public input survey to provide feedback on the draft plan.
What is a Park, Outdoor Recreation, and Open Space Plan?
Over the last 8-months, Rock County has been working on its 5-year update of the Park, Outdoor Recreation, and Open Space Plan. The purpose of the plan is to identify and prioritize the County’s existing facilities, assets, and areas of needed improvement, in addition to future park and recreation needs. The document also contains topic-specific goals, objectives, policies, and recommendations, as well as a community-wide vision and action plan to help prioritize future implementation projects. By completing this plan every 5-years, Rock County retains eligibility through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to apply for matching state and federal grants.
