Join the Charlottesville area runners in a free, fun run along the Rivanna Trail with multiple distance options including the full 20+ mile loop. The start/finish is near Greenberry's in Barracks Road shopping center at 7:45am. I ask that people try to arrange small groups of similarly paced runners before hand so we can avoid a crowded start.
We will run along the trail in the counter clockwise direction. Be prepared for muddy trails and some creek crossings. But there is a bridge over the river half way through the loop. Bring your own food/drinks. The trail goes by a Taco Bell around 5 miles and CVS around 13 miles in case you need to resupply. The trail is marked, but some road intersections are less clear, so bring a map or run with someone who knows the loop. If the roads are icy, the run will be delayed as necessary. Check this page for last minute updates.
There will be a reroute from Leonard Sandridge to Old Ivy on roads due to the new construction around there.
Note, this will be the 21st annual occurrence of this fun run.
