The 2025 William A. Irvin 5K will again be the kickoff event to a weekend full of running and excitement along the scenic north shore of Lake Superior.This 3.1-mile race will have a new start time of 1:00 p.m. AND a new racecourse in 2025, one that takes participants down the iconic finish stretch of Grandma's Marathon and the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon.
The race will still start near the historic William A. Irvin ore boat slip, taking runners on a beautiful tour of Duluth before finishing in the city's premier outdoor entertainment venue, Bayfront Festival Park.
Perfect for all ages and abilities, this race will be celebrating its 32nd annual race this summer. Join us in Duluth for Grandma's Marathon weekend, a world class race with small town charm!
