The Wildwood Foundation is pleased to announce its annual Walk for WIldwood will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Cook Park in Colonie from 9:00-11:00 am. Each year, the Walk for Wildwood brings together hundreds of children, adults, families, and friends for a morning full of joy, connection, and purpose. Those who pre-register for the walk by September 19th at $25 receive a free commemorative t-shirt, and will get to enjoy live music, refreshments, and peruse a community fair with tabled vendors. Registration beyond then will cost $35 and extra t-shirts will be available. This popular event, held rain or shine, raises critical funds benefitting Wildwood, whose programs improve the lives of individuals living with autism, neurologically-based learning disabilities, and other developmental disorders. "Wildwood Foundation's Walk for Wildwood is more than a walk; it brings together our community for an impactful display of unity and heart. It is a show of solidarity in celebrating our mission by recognizing the incredible individuals we support, Wildwood's dedicated staff, and our critical community partners," Nicole Babie, the Foundation Director, said. “We’d be honored to have you walk alongside us as we celebrate inclusion, resilience, and tradition for a cause that changes lives.”
Wildwood Programs, a private non-profit organization, was founded in 1967 by a small group of parents committed to finding appropriate programs for their children. What began as a program for a handful of pre-school age children has grown into an organization that provides high quality supports and services to over 1,600 people with learning and developmental disabilities throughout the Capital Region. Working collaboratively with individuals, families, and the community, Wildwood empowers and enables children and adults with neurologically-based learning disabilities, autism and other developmental disorders to lead independent, productive, and fulfilling lives in a way that is meaningful for them.
Wildwood Foundation is incredibly grateful to its generous corporate sponsors for their support, including: Bill and Bonnie Daggett, Arrow Bank, CDPHP, Hannay Reels, Greg and Dawn Mingel, Thrivent, Wilcenski Pleat Law, Adirondack Beverages, MMB & Co, Times Union, Adams Heating & Cooling, Bennett Contracting, CLA Site, Crisafulli Bros.
