About this Event
Welcome to the 2025 Utah State University Extension Master Gardener Program in Washington County!

- W**d Control
- Lawn Care
- Entomology and Pest Management
- Organic Options
Field Trips:
As part of this program, students will have the opportunity to participate in three hands-on field trips. These include a visit to local high tunnels, where we’ll explore sustainable farming techniques in controlled environments, as well as field trips focused on apple tree pruning and peach tree pruning, offering valuable, real-world experience in maintaining healthy fruit trees for optimal production.
In addition to the classwork, students who wish to become a Certified Master Gardener must provide a minimum of 40 hours of volunteer service. Volunteer opportunities will be identified, but students will be expected to make contacts and perform service on their own. In the past students have developed individual projects or worked at public and community gardens. More details on volunteering will be covered during the class.
**Volunteering is not mandatory, and you can still attend the class without becoming a certified Master Gardener if you are unable to volunteer**
This year our program can admit up to 25 persons
The cost for the course is $200 per person.
Registration CLOSES on January 1st, 2025.
