Join us on March 22 between 9:00-12:30 for the Tracy Triton’s 2025 Open Assessments! The swim assessment is required for all new swimmers. At the tryout your swimmer(s) will be asked to swim 1 or 2 lengths of the pool while the coaching staff review and assess their current level. The coaching staff does not require that a swimmer have mastered swimming, but the swimmer must demonstrate a comfortability in the water, most notably demonstrate an ability to: (1) swim with their face in the water; (2) swim without stopping; (3) swim unassisted, i.e. no use of the lane lines or wall; (4) possess the ability to breath comfortably on their side or back, or while lifting their head without impeding their stroke; and (5) must enter the water without the assistance of a 3rd party.
Style is not a deciding factor.
Decisions are based on the coach’s expert opinion, and are FINAL.
Swimmers wishing to participate in the assessments are required to have:
A proper swim suit.
A towel.
Goggles.
A swim cap (in necessary).
