About this Event
We are excited to invite you all to join Sustainable Maryland in College Park, Maryland for our 2025 Sustainable States Network Annual Meeting!
The meeting will be held on the University of Maryland’s flagship campus where we have access to a variety of amenities.
At this upcoming meeting, we will have conversations on integrating equity and climate best practices into our programs, navigating the new federal landscape, and methods for improving program accessibility for communities. We realize this is a challenging period we are entering so we hope this meeting will be a time to think critically and creatively about how to move forward together.
Annual Meeting Goals:
- Connect with peers and build stronger relationships
- Showcase the work of Member programs, and the power of the Network in scaling results
- Have fun together
- Learn about member initiatives on identified topics of interest
- Learn about how state programs are incorporating equity and discuss goals for equity work over the coming year
- Look ahead to 2025/26, shape the future of the Network, identify network focus areas, useful support to state programs and multi-state collaborations.
- Elect 2025 Network leadership
A detailed agenda will be posted here shortly.
Additional Event:
We will also be offering a sustainability tour of our neighboring municipality Takoma Park. Takoma Park is Silver certified in the Sustainable Maryland program and is one of our highest scoring participants to date.
This tour will offer SSN members an up close and personal look at how they accomplish initiatives like converting a local gas station into an EV charging station, redesigning their municipal buildings to include a green roof and stormwater management, operate a curbside compost program, and much more!
After the tour we will be hosting dinner at a local restaurant called Motor Kat – named for a local Takoma Park legend. Their menu is created using local ingredients in partnership with neighboring farms and other vendors.
Registration Information
There will be two registration options available: general admission ($350) and an option to request registration fee assistance. If you select the option to request registration fee assistance, we will be in contact with you to set up a payment plan.
