About this Event

The admission directors from the twelve state universities provide information to middle and high school counselors, district personnel and community-based organizations regarding admission criteria and updates from the university in general. Guests will have the opportunity to meet with staff from each school and obtain university, district and FLDOE literature. Representatives from the FLDOE and Florida Bright Futures will also provide updates.

Counselors must register through Eventbrite in order to ensure admission to the event.

Parking: Parking can be found in Lot 3, Blue Garage or Gold Garage. Counselors will receive a link to register for parking once they sign up to attend the event through Eventbrite. Note: once registered in the parking system, no physical decal will be required. This will only be good for parking in spaces marked "Student" or "Faculty/Staff" (not valid for admin, E decal, metered, state vehicle, or loading areas). If participants are interested in paying for their own parking, they can do so by using the metered spaces. Any tickets issued during the event will be the responsibility of the participant.

Directions: From Miami International Airport: Take the I-836 West exit from the Airport. Follow I-836 to the Florida Turnpike. Take the Turnpike South exit. Follow the Turnpike to the Tamiami Trail exit (SW 8th Street). Take the SW 8th Street EAST exit. Follow SW 8th St. FIU will be on the right; follow SW 8th St. to 107th Ave and turn RIGHT. Once on 107th Ave, the campus is on the right and you will turn RIGHT on to 16th St. At the traffic circle keep right to the second exit and the parking garages will be in front of you, with parking lot 3 on your right and lot 4 on your left.

From I-95, Downtown Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach: Take I-95 to I-836 WEST. Follow I-836 to the Florida Turnpike. Take the Turnpike SOUTH exit. Follow the Florida Turnpike to the Tamiami Trail exit (SW 8th Street). Take the SW 8th Street EAST exit. Follow SW 8th St. FIU will be on the right; follow SW 8th St. to 107th Ave and turn RIGHT. Once on 107th Ave, the campus is on the right and you will turn RIGHT on to 16th St. At the traffic circle keep right to the second exit and the parking garages will be in front of you, with parking lot 3 on your right and lot 4 on your left.

Parking: While we make ever effort to ensure our guests have ample parking, we will experience heavy traffic during the first two weeks of the semester. Please plan accordingly.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is this okay? Participant names must be listed on our attendance sheet. Participants must register on Eventbrite in order to be on the list. Some school districts collect names of those planning on attending. This is not registration for the event. Registration through Eventbrite is based on room capacity and fire marshal standards. Those not on our registration list may find that they are unable to be admitted.
