Stampede Boys Basketball FALL AAU for Grades 3-8

Tryouts Tuesday August 12th

Stampede Fall AAU Boys’ Basketball tryouts are for grades 3 through 8. Stampede AAU is for players who love basketball, are pretty good at it, and want to get better at it!

Tryouts: Tuesday August 12th in Large and Small Gym at Clovis North High School

3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade 5:30pm-7pm

6th, 7th, & 8th Grade 7pm-8:30pm

PARENTS MUST BE AT TRYOUTS TO REGISTER THEIR SON AND PAY A--$20 fee to tryout (non-refundable) – you can pay with check or cash at the tryout.

IF YOUR SON IS SELECTED TO A TEAM, PARENTS MUST ORDER A GAME UNIFORM RIGHT AWAY IF YOU NEED ONE. THE STORE TO ORDER WILL BE OPEN FROM Thursday August 14th to Monday August 18th. THE GAME UNIFORMS ARE CUSTOM MADE AND HAVE A 5 WEEK TURN AROUND TIME. WE WANT TO MAKE SURE HE WILL GET HIS UNIFORM BEFORE HIS FIRST GAME.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO GO AND BUY A GOOD INDOOR BASKETBALL FOR HIM TO BRING TO EACH PRACTICE ALONG WITH A BLACK AND WHITE REVERSIBLE JERSEY. FOR 3RD THROUGH 5TH THEY WILL NEED A 28.5 SIZE BALL. FOR 6TH - 8TH GRADE THEY USE A 29.5 SIZE BALL. A GOOD INDOOR ONLY BALL WILL COST BETWEEN $50-$100.

Coaches will contact and/or have conversations with parents by late Wednesday August 13th. If you decide your son does not

No player is guaranteed playing time; however, we do like to play a lot of players. Coaches reserve the right to not play kids for character or attitude issues. Although, it does cost money to enter the tournaments, you are not paying for them to play in the games. You are paying for the practices and the experience of being a part of our program. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US THAT YOUR SON ATTEND PRACTICES. IN MANY WAYS THE PRACTICES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE GAMES. THEY ARE LEARNING THINGS THEY WILL NEED TO EXECUTE IN THE GAME!!! It is frustrating to the coaches, when a player does not know what he is supposed to do because he has not been at practice. Fall Stampede Membership Fee $150

New Game Uniform - $125

Players must wear a black and white reversible jersey to practice. If you don’t have one, you can purchase it for $25. We will wear our Stampede AAU game uniforms to games.

· Stampede Membership fee is due no later than August 18th. Uniform orders also have to be in by August 18th. There is a long turnaround time on custom game uniforms.
