The Spring Genealogy & Local History Workshop at BPL is a two-day workshop featuring speakers, classes and expert help centered on all things genealogy and local history.This year's Keynote Speaker, Ricki King of Roots to Branches Genealogy, is an incredibly accomplished woman with Burlington roots and historic accomplishments!
The workshop features two Lunch & learn sessions - one on Friday and one on Saturday - presentations from an amazing mix of local volunteers including Russ Fry, the Des Moines County Pioneer Cemetery Commission, Paul French, Kay Weiss, the Des Moines County Genealogical Society and more, plus a kids' genealogy program, an exclusive genealogy/local history book sale from the Friends of the Library and a Learning Lab staffed with expert volunteers to help you find your way, no matter where you're headed!
