2025 Sport Tasman Nelson Sport + Recreation Awards

The Sport Tasman Nelson Sport + Recreation Awards recognise outstanding performance and contribution by our region’s sportspeople. They are the premier sports event for the Nelson and Tasman districts. Over their course many local, national and world champions have been honoured for their achievements and their impact on our community.

The live awards dinner returns to Rutherford Hotel in 2025. The expanded awards recognise high performance individuals and teams as well as groups and projects who have a positive impact in our community through active recreation and sport. Community heroes will take their place on stage alongside the elite, high performing athletes in our region.

The ultimate accolade of the evening is the Nelson Sportsperson of the Year who is determined to be the overall winner from the winners of the individual/team high-performance awards.

Sport Tasman is pleased to welcome back MC Jason Pine and introduce our guest of honour for the 2025 awards - Ameliaranne Ekenasio.
