The best Speedway Kart drivers in the country are heading to The Bowl on April 12th & 13th for the inaugural POWRI Speedway Kart National Open, presented by Lees Fencing.A huge field of over 30 125cc karts are expected, as drivers battle for not only the chance to become the first ever POWRI Australian Karting champion, but to take home the impressive $1000 winners cheque.
No less than 4 Winged Outlaw Kart classes will also do battle in their first attempt at an Australian Championship, including the impressive 450cc open outlaws.
Our Junior kartstars also join the fun as drivers as young as 6 years old take to the track to learn their craft.
If you have ever been to The Bowl you will know just how exciting the kart racing scene is.
Here is all the information you will need to plan your weekend at the track.
WHEN
Saturday April 12th - 1.30pm start time
Sunday April 13th - 9.30am start time
HOW MUCH
Spectators pricing is per day as follows,
Adults $20
Students 10 - 16 $10
Kids under 10 are FREE
WILL THERE BE FOOD AVAILABLE?
Yes the crew from Lou Lous snack shack will be trackside for both days with all your favorite trackside snacks.
IS CAMPING AVAILABLE?
Yes, camping is available in the recreation area, any spectators wanting to book a campsite should contact the recreation area directly.
WHAT SHOULD WE PACK?
Anyone wanting to take in the racing should pack a camping chair to sit on, or a blanket for the grass, warm clothes just incase it cools down, and of course be sun safe.
