About this Event
The Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership is hosting a public event on September 16th and 17th, where the public, local scientists, land managers, policymakers, and resource users will come together to share the latest regional science, hurricane impacts and recovery information, and how to further address challenges impacting Central and Southwest Florida.
This in-person event will have numerous networking opportunities to allow participants to build new connections and collaborations. Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) may be available for Professional Engineers and Professional Geologists upon request -- please provide your information in the relevant fields at ticket selection if you are interested in case this is available.
Experts from a variety of organizations will be presenting, including Dr. Carolina Maran (South Florida Water Management District), Dr. Peter Sheng (University of Florida), and Dr. Charles Jacoby (University of South Florida).
This year's summit will also coincide with the statewide Florida Resiliency Conference being held September 17th-19th at the same venue. Having these two events held in tandem will give the opportunity for interested participants to attend both events, gleaning greater knowledge on how we can further resiliency both in our region and statewide.
