About this Event
This link is to register for the sporting clays event as an individual to be placed with a team on either Monday or Tuesday, 9/29/25 or 9/30/25; please register to participate on or before 9/28/25. Choose the day and time you would like to participate. Registration is "first-come, first-served" basis; only South Dakota first responders and military personnel are invited to participate.
Two tournaments each day:
- 9:00 am shotgun start
- 1:00 pm shotgun start
The sporting clays tournaments are 4-person team events; you will be registered as an individual to be placed with others to form a 4-person team. If you would like to register as a team, please return to the registration page on sdsalutes.org and follow the team registration link. There will be 40 teams competing in each tournament which will consist of 100 targets.
***There will be "Top-Gun” & “Top Team" trophies for each event.
IMPORTANT: Registration is on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Please register ASAP. (In the spirit of helping us make this FREE event accessible to as many others as possible, we ask that you limit yourself to shooting sporting clays one time)
South Dakota Salutes is an event to show appreciation and support for those who serve & protect the citizens of South Dakota.
The South Dakota Salutes event is to be held at Hunters Pointe Shooting Complex and the following are invited to attend "free" of any charges to participate in various shooting sports:
- Law Enforcement – Including: City & Town Police; County Sheriff's & Deputy Sheriff's; Highway Patrol Officers; Game, Fish & Parks Officers; DCI & etc.
- Fire & Rescue, including EMT’s (Full time employees & volunteers)
- Military Personnel – including: Army; Navy; Air Force; Marines; Reserve Units; Guard Units (Active Duty & Retired)
Hunters Pointe Shooting Complex (HPSC) has two world class sporting clays courses.
SPONSORS are providing: targets, ammunition, trophies, gifts, food & beverages.
VOLUNTEERS are providing their talents & services to host this event.
ADVANCE RESERVATIONS are required because the capacity of the courses is limited and because it's necessary to be able to plan for enough food & beverages, prior to the start of the event.
