DC Open is back! This tournament is a long held tradition of the DMV area since the 1980s that attracts 200+ players all over the east coast. Please share the event!$3000+ in prizes!!!
There is no USAB membership required! This will be an UNRANKED tournament.

UPDATES FROM LAST YEAR!
The tournament will be split into A/B/C/D groups per event. Please sign up for the skill level you want to play. You may not play more than one type of event due to time constraints. You may also not play more than 2 different skill levels. Please read the regulations below for further information. UMD CLUB BADMINTON RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MOVE YOU INTO A DIFFERENT SKILL GROUP IF YOU ARE DEEMED TO BE TOO ADVANCED. All players are guaranteed two matches and there will be a consolation bracket.

Juniors & Juniors Consolation in Singles, Doubles (U15)
Seniors & Seniors Consolation in Doubles 40+
Note: Both players must be ages 40 or older. Doubles 40+ is a genderless event (you may play with a MD, XD, or WD pair).
Events may be capped due to time constraints, so please register early as the spots are first come first serve.

ENTRY FEES
$35 for the first event, $30 for the second event, and $25 for the third event.
Payments will be done through PayPal via TournamentSoftware. Please contact [email protected] for alternative payment methods.
Failure to pay by the withdrawal deadline will result in your entry being voided.

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY, SUBJECT TO CHANGE):
Saturday, March 8: MS, WS, 11:30 am – XD, U15 Singles, U15 Doubles
Sunday, March 9: MD, WD, Doubles 40+
Note: Events are scheduled to be finished in one day, but matches are subject to carryover from Saturday (especially semi-finals or finals for divisions).
Note: The schedule is subject to change based on the number of players registered. Should the schedule be changed, announcements will be made on the DC Open event Facebook page (you do not need a Facebook account to view it). The UMD Badminton Club reserves the right to make changes to the schedule.
