About this Event
Join us for this special one-day educational event on April 6th, 2025 in Austin, TX. All sections and skill levels are welcome! This clinic is for prospective auditionees, percussionists who want to learn more about the WGI activity, or young people who are simply looking to learn a thing or two! Lunch is available for purchase.
For just $70, you will get the opportunity to:
- Learn about RF's style, technique, and fundamentals directly from our world-class staff
- Play on industry-leading Marimba One front ensemble equipment
- Practice and perform a portion of RF's 2025 show "What Goes Around..."
- Network with current RF members and staff
- Watch the 2025 Send-Off Show for free*
*Parents, please purchase seats to watch your child's performance as part of our Send-Off Show fundraiser, located here. The show will start at 4:30pm.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Participants should bring a packed lunch or have money/transportation to grab food during the 1.5 hour lunch break. RF will be offering a box lunch for $10 - available for purchase at check-in only.
Participants are expected to bring their own sticks, mallets, and practice pads/stands. Battery should bring their own drum, carrier, and hardware (if possible)
You should be emailed a music packet prior to the event--try to take a look at this music in advance!
Schedule for the Day:
- 8:30am - Check in opens (purchase lunch if necessary)
- 9:00am - find assigned rooms
- 9:30am - Clinic Begins
- 1:00pm - Lunch on your own (or provided if you purchased lunch in the morning)
- 2:30pm - Clinic Resumes
- 3:30pm - Rehearsal w/ Rhythmic Force Members
- 4:30pm - Clinic Performances w/ Rhythmic Force Members
- 5:00pm - Rhythmic Force Percussion Send off-Show Begins
- 6:00pm - Social time
- 6:20pm - RF load equipment for World champs
