Every March, the First Friday Art Walk takes a musical journey back in time with Retro Sounds, celebrating iconic music and performers from past generations. On March 7, 2025, Retro Sounds will transport you to the Roaring 20s with jazz, flappers, and Art Deco style!
The evening will begin with a 1920s dance performance by Dance by Sheila from 6-6:30 p.m., followed by free Charleston dance lessons from 6:30-7 p.m. by the Arthur Murray Dance Center. Vivacity will then perform a two-hour Gatsby Jazz show, bringing the Jazz Age to life.
Over 40 visual art displays will line the downtown sidewalks, with 1920s-themed activities, special sales, and extended business hours at local shops. The Ocala Street Cruisers will host a vintage car show, and the event is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs.
It’s the bee’s knees, an unforgettable evening of jazz, flappers, and the glitz of the 1920s in downtown Ocala!
