About this Event
Our Center Mission: The Southern California Center for Chronic Disease Research and Prevention (SC3DRP) was established in 2021, and focuses on preventing chronic diseases (e.g. obesity, type 2 diabetes, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in at-risk populations. We research the causes of health disparities related to chronic disease, and work with researchers and external partners to develop solutions that will improve the health of high-risk populations.
Who should attend? The meeting is open to trainees, researchers, staff, and community organizations/members interested in our Center’s mission.
What will attendees get out of this event? They will learn about new research on health disparities that is relevant to families in Southern California, and how to engage communities and external partners in research. They will also learn about the resources and pilot project funding available from our Center.
