The Recovered Futures Art Exhibition will return to King George Square from 3-8 October, celebrating Queensland Mental Health Week and sparking life-changing conversations. Now in its 34th year, this free exhibition will feature more than 300 pieces created by 217 artists with lived experience of mental health challenges. There's lots to look forward to, including:
• Artist in Residence painting live onstage
• Badge-making
• Colouring-in
• Lawn games
• Wise words for wellbeing (share a note, take a note)
• Coffee and snacks in the outdoor relaxation zone.
All artwork is for sale, with 85 per cent of proceeds straight back in the pocket of artists. The exhibition is free, with everyone welcome during the below hours:
• Friday 3 October: 9am – 6pm
• Saturday 4 October: 10am – 4pm
• Sunday 5 October: 10am – 4pm
• Monday 6 October: 9am – 5pm
• Tuesday 7 October: 9am – 5pm
• Wednesday 8 October: 9am – 5pm
