2025 | OPOTA 124 -Hour Private Security Academy - Spring Session (Mar-May)

This class fulfills all requirements to obtain your OPOTC Private Security Certificate. 

This is a 124 Hour course runs evenings, M-Th for 8 weeks. Classes are held at Action Defense in Broadview Hts., OH

Classes begin Mar. 17, 2024 and End on May 9, 2024. Classes will be held in the evenings Mon-Th from 6pm to10pm. Perfect Attendance is required, including being on time for each session.

The enrollment deadline for this course is March 3, 2024

Students must be 18 years of age

Participants should be in good physical condition. Some training in this class involves physical exertion and physical contact with other students and/or instructors. Some medical conditions can be aggravated or made worse by exertion. There is a risk of injury. You may experience some pain or discomfort in learning and practicing certain techniques.

• The cost of the private Security training class is $1850.00
• The cost of the State Testing is currently $95.00 (this fee can change)- not included in Tuition fee.
• Any Make-Up time is billed to the student at $60 per hour and is due at time of make-up. Make up time is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of the commander.

A Non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is required to secure your seat. This will cover the upfront cost of materials and uniforms. This fee is due prior to enrollment deadline (2 weeks before class begins)

• You may pay in full at check out. We accept credit card, debit card, PayPal and Google Pay.
• You may pay by Cash or Cashier's check , partially or in full, by in-person appointment. (call us!)

• If you are turned down for credit, you may set up a payment plan with Action Defense. This will require the $500.00 deposit and equal payments for the balance are divided over the number of weeks you are paying, and all payments must be paid 2 weeks before the last day of class. - You must call to enroll and create a payment plan. **

**We cannot release Certificates of Completion until all fees have been paid in full

• Physical Education T-Shirt

• Polo- style Uniform Shirt Provided to you by Action Defense - or your Agency Uniform if you are asked to wear it by your agency. Shirts must be tucked in during class hours.
• Black Shoes. Shoes/boots should be laced up and tied during class hours.
• Black or Blue uniform pants, dress pants or BDU's

• T-Shirt provided to you by Action Defense
• Black Sweatpants
• Athletic shoes and socks

• RESCHEDULING: We will be happy to reschedule your class when you provide us with at least 2 WEEKS notice before your scheduled class begins. *Rescheduling is subject to seating availability and/or discretion of Action Defense.

• MISSED CLASS: Should you miss your class, (or any portion of your class) without advanced notice or are a "no-call-no-show" you will risk being dismissed from the program and will forfeit 100% of your enrollment fee. There are no refunds on enrollment fees for missed classes.

• LATE ARRIVALS: You must be on time to your scheduled classes and fulfill all time requirements. The State of Ohio sets forth time requirements that need to be met by each student and by Action Defense. Classes will begin promptly at the scheduled time. Due to state requirements, we cannot allow exceptions to this policy for any reason. We are glad to discuss this with you. *PLEASE NOTE: this includes being late from breaks and/or lunches, and applies to each day of your course. You may be able to make up to an hour at your cost.

• COURSE FAILURE OR DISMISSAL: There are no refunds for enrollment or supply fees should the student fail the class or dismissed for any other reason. Should you decide to make a future attempts at passing by enrolling into another class, you must pay the standard cost of enrollment

• CLASS CANCELLATIONS: Action Defense reserves the right to cancel any class due to enrollment, inclement weather or any other reason. In the event of a cancellation, students will be notified by email, and options for refunds or rescheduling will be provided.
