OVERVIEW
Since the inception of Women in Aviation International's Girls in Aviation Day in 2015, the Oklahoma Girls in Aviation Day has seen remarkable growth each year. On September 20, 2025, the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics and AAR Corporation in Oklahoma City, in collaboration with the Oklahoma Aerospace Foundation, Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority, and the Oklahoma Air and Army National Guard are excited to host over 800 enthusiastic girls. This inspiring event will take place in Hangar 2 at the Will Rogers International Airport General Aviation Terminal. We warmly invite you to be a part of the 2025 Oklahoma Girls in Aviation Day! Enjoy a complimentary lunch while connecting with fellow attendees. This fantastic event is free, but please remember that registration is required to secure your spot. WHAT WILL THE DAY BRING?
Girls ages 8 to 18 have the opportunity to explore exciting career and lifestyle possibilities in aviation and aerospace through dynamic, hands-on experiences. By engaging with inspiring role models, attending impactful career panels, and exploring airplanes, helicopters, and space, participants can ignite their passion for STEM fields and build valuable networks. Our event promises not only fun but also educational experiences that highlight diverse career paths, including airlines, air traffic control, military aviation, airport planning, and engineering. Historic Hangar 2 at AAR's campus on Will Rogers International Airport will come alive with exhibitors and industry professionals eager to share insights and expertise. In our dedicated education area, participants will dive into engaging activities such as flight simulators, STEM kits, physics experiments, drones, airspace concepts, static displays, and aircraft manufacturing. These hands-on experiences will leave a lasting impression, empowering the next generation of Oklahoma's workforce to reach for the skies. Join us and discover your future in aviation!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: To ensure the highest levels of safety and security at the airport, it's essential that each ticket is registered to its holder, including both adults and students. This process is mandatory for entry onto airport grounds. T-shirts will be specifically given to student attendees as a token of our appreciation.
