This one-day class will cover basic botany concepts, including terminology, anatomy of plants and reproductive parts, and plant families
About this Event

Join us for this one-day refresher class for students who have never studied Botany or need a reminder after years away from the subject. We’ll dissect at least two types of flowers and use microscopes for a clear view of anatomy. Using a variety of techniques, we’ll discuss and learn frequently used vocabulary, categories of plants and fruits, various structures and means of reproduction, and look at 10 common plant families found in Colorado. If you’re looking for Botany taught with interactive and hands-on components with minimal lecturing, ths is it. This is primarily an indoor class.

This one day course does not count toward the Native Plant Master certification.
