About this Event
Please join us at 1 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh for North Carolina’s 3rd annual Black Women in Architecture Brunch. Attendance is open to all Black women in the AEC industry (of course!), as well as their supporters and allies. Enjoy a delicious brunch, in-person networking, and a nationally broadcast virtual presentation from our counterparts in Washington D.C. (Noon-2:30pm). These open festivities will be followed by a closed session for Black female architecture professionals to get to know each other and share their unique experiences (2:30-4pm).
Proceeds from this event contribute to the BWA Network and NCNOMA 2026 ARE Scholarships.
NCNOMA's goal is to create local access for BIPOC practitioners to get licensed where it does not otherwise exist. The NCNOMA ARE Scholarship will recognize the contributions of emerging North Carolina professionals in their careers and defray the costs associated with the Architect Registration Examination (ARE). Scholarship recipients will receive funds to cover the cost of the ARE and study materials to prepare for testing.
The Black Women in Architecture Network is a resource clearinghouse for the over 500 US licensed Black women architects, those aspiring to be architects, and other women in design, planning, and allied professions in the US and around the world.
