About this Event
In woodworking, artists shape raw materials into products of beauty and function. Like a woodworker, God enacts a slow and steady transformation in our lives if we open ourselves to it. The sharp edges of our hearts and souls are honed and shaped by God’s hands. At this weekend retreat we will examine God’s handiwork in the Bible, in the lives of saints, and in our own lives. Come and enjoy keynote talks, small group discussions, music, prayer, worship, good food, and fellowship. All persons 21 years & older who identify as male are welcome to attend.
Keynote Speaker: The Rev. Bradley Mattson (Rector, Hope Episcopal Church, Manheim) is a bivocational priest: in addition to his ministry at Hope Church, his numerous speaking engagements, and other responsibilities within the diocese, he he maintains a career as a credentialed financial professional. Bradley is married to another Episcopal priest, the Rev. Jennifer Mattson. Together they are raising four children. In Bradley’s “spare time”, he pursues his other passions: woodworking, gardening, and cooking.
