About this Event
The Mental Health Association of Central Florida (MHACF.org) is pleased to host their 14th annual Legacy of Champions Luncheon Wednesday May 21st. The event will take place from 11:30am – 1:30p.m. at the Rosen Centre Hotel and will be hosted by noted Orlando Sentinel columnist Scott Maxwell. Registration opens at 10:45am with a VIP Reception following from 1:30pm – 2:30pm.
Since 2011, the Legacy of Champions Luncheon has served as the primary method by which the MHACF raises essential funds to support critical programs like our Outlook Clinic. Exclusively providing mental and behavioral healthcare for children, adolescents, and adults that are uninsured, and face access obstacles to seeking mental health services and care, last year the Outlook clinic provided over 4,000 patients visits.
As seen in prior years, this event brings together community leaders and highlights inspirational and meaningful stories about the state of mental health in our community while recognizing exceptional community members with the prestigious Candice Crawford Community Champion Award and Community Heroes Award.
This year’s goal is to raise $250,000 so that the MHACF can continue to meet the escalating needs of our neighbors in crisis.
